Homewood Public Works To Host Open House
The May 16 event is free to attend and open to the public.

HOMEWOOD, IL — The Village of Homewood invites residents to explore the essential services that keep the community running during the Homewood Public Works Open House on Saturday, May 16.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Homewood Public Works facility, 17755 Ashland Ave., and is designed to offer a behind-the-scenes look at the operations, equipment and staff that support the village each day.
The event will also feature family-friendly activities, including a dress-up station and refreshments. Children and families are encouraged to get an up-close look at large public works vehicles and equipment, with opportunities to take photos and learn more about how the department serves the community.

"This event is a great opportunity for residents to see firsthand the work our team does every day to maintain and improve Homewood’s infrastructure," said Public Works Director Joshua Burman. "We’re excited to welcome families out for a fun and educational experience that highlights the important role public works plays in our community."
The Public Works open house is free and open to the public.
