Homewood Thinks 'Big': What's in the Box?

Any guesses as to what's inside the "Big Box" Homewood brought to town?

Homewood is thinking outside the Big Box this holiday season with the installation of a large shipping container in its downtown area. The “Big Box” will open on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.. It will also be open on Friday, Dec. 5 for “Holiday Lights in Homewood” from 6 to 9 p.m. This is a fun opportunity to see new fashion trends and unique merchandise in one unique location. Homewood’s Big Box is at the corner of Martin Ave and Ridge Road in Downtown Homewood.

In addition to the “Big Box” Homewood also expanded its Pop-Up Shops to five locations for this second year. The five Pop Ups are in available storefronts at 2023, 2045 and 2049 Ridge Road as well as 18065 Harwood Ave and 18360 Governors Highway in Cherry Creek Plaza. Unique artisans range from jewelry and clothing to fine arts and vintage offerings.

The Big Box will be open for “Holiday Lights in Homewood” on Dec. 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. “Holiday Lights in Homewood” celebrates the season with an action-packed, family-friendly evening of festivity on Friday, Dec. 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. The evening features a tree lighting ceremony, outdoor marketplace, ice sculpture carvings, live reindeer petting zoo, antique car parade, the arrival of Santa and his friends on the Homewood fire truck and more.
