Illinois Farmer Grows the Country's Biggest Pumpkin

Two thousand pounds of pumpkin could sure make a lot of pumpkin pie filling.

For now though, the pumpkin grown by Illinois farmer Gene McMullen holds the title as the country’s largest pumpkin on record.

McMullen’s pumpkin weighed in at over 2,000 pounds, beating his previous record of 1,600 pounds. McMullen, of Streator, told ABC7 he “feels like a lucky man.”
