Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra Presents 'Tango and Strings' at Ravisloe

The second IPO at Ravisloe Summer Series concert, "Tango & Strings" takes place on Wednesday, July 22 at Ravisloe Country Club.

Ole! On Wednesday, July 22, at 7 p.m. the IPO String Quartet takes the floor in the Great Hall at the ravishing Ravisloe Country Club to spice up the evening with a scintillating program of tangos and other Latin-inspired rhythms. The quartet will be performing works by Villa Lobos, Ginastera, Gardel, Bizet and more.

Guests are invited to come early at 6 p.m. for a free pre-concert tango demonstration and learn more about the history of this dramatic dance. The demonstration will be led by IPO flutist Beth Bryngelson and her partner Marco Mambelli.

In addition, theme dinner and drink specials like Argentinian Beef Brisket, Green Chile Pork Tacos, Sangria and Cuba Libres will be available in Ravisloe’s restaurant, The Bunker Bar & Grill. Reservations suggested, 708.798.5600.
