Jake Arrieta Presents $5,000 Check to Arcadia Elementary School

OLYMPIA, FIELDS, IL - Chicago Cubs ace pitcher and reigning National League Cy Young Award winner Jake Arrieta spent some time at Arcadia Elementary School in Olympia Fields Tuesday to recognize the school’s win in the recent “Game Plan for Success” contest.

Arrieta presented a check for $5,000 to the school, which beat out Edward “Duke” Ellington School and Frazier International Magnet School in Chicago for the win in the contest that encourages students to work hard and practice their skills.
