HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR, IL — As classes begin again for students in Homewood and Flossmoor, local school districts are making COVID-19 data available to the public.
Governor J.B. Pritzker announced Wednesday he is again imposing a statewide indoor mask mandate, effective August 30. The governor also said all teachers, college students, and healthcare workers must get the COVID-19 vaccine or have a weekly COVID test.

- District 233 Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School reports 12 student cases and 0 faculty/staff cases in August.
- Homewood School District 153 reports 8 student positive cases of COVID-19 in August.
- Flossmoor School District 161 reports 16 active cases in the community as of August 26; this includes two cases where the persons who tested positive were in the same classroom or other space within 14 days of one another.
