Lillian Watkins promoted to Manager at Advocate South Suburban Hospital

Watkins, of Flossmoor, will oversee the Centralized Telemetry Unit at Advocate South Suburban Hospital.

Lillian Watkins, of Flossmoor, was recently promoted to Manager of the Centralized Telemetry Unit at Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, Ill.

She took on the new role on April 20, 2015 after serving as interim manager for the past four months.

In this position, Watkins is responsible for managing and evaluating nursing practice, operations and services on her unit to ensure patients receive safe, quality care. She also will oversee the department budget and is responsible for staff development, evaluation and retention. As manager, Watkins will promote patient safety and continuous quality improvement to ensure clinical standards.

Watkins had been an assistant clinical manager at Advocate South Suburban Hospital since 2012. She began her nursing career at the hospital in 2008, after previously serving as a clerical associate.

Watkins earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University and her Master of Science in Nursing from University of St. Francis.
