Liz's Mindful Mondays: Weekly Reflections + Inspiration from the Heart of Serendipity Yoga and Wellness

Dear Reader,
Regulating your nervous system and finding a little more calm doesn't have to cost anything or take much time. Often, the simplest practices can help us feel more grounded. The next time you feel anxious, frustrated, overwhelmed, or stressed, try one of these:
- Hum
- Sigh
- Sing
- Yawn
- Laugh
- Breathe slowly
- Pray
- Meditate
- Lie down and rest
- Stretch
- Dance
- Go for a walk
- Sit in the sunshine
- Place your bare feet in the grass
- Pet an animal
- Spend time with someone who feels safe
- Take a cool or cold shower
You do not need to do everything on this list. Simply choose one practice that feels supportive and give yourself a few moments to pause, reset, and return to yourself.

Listen | Did you know that different sound frequencies are believed to affect the body and mind in different ways? The 528 Hz frequency is often called the “healing frequency” and is associated with relaxation and restoration. The next time you need a little TLC, listen to this playlist, breathe deeply, and allow yourself to rest.
Try This | Say the good thing out loud, even if you are only saying it to yourself. Hearing the words can feel more powerful than simply thinking them.
