Local Woman to Vie for Miss Illinois USA This Month

Ariel Fuller, a 2008 Bloom Township High School graduate, has her eyes on the Miss Illinois USA crown, a first step toward the Miss Universe pageant.
The Glenwood woman won the title of Miss Greater Cook County USA in June. The Miss Illinois pageant competition takes place in Skokie Aug. 29 to Sept. 1.

Fuller works for the Girls Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Along with her mother, Dee Collins, Fuller also works with young people on health and self-esteem through Dunamis Woman Ministries.
“I think I have a gift to naturally tap into the mindsets and the hearts and the souls of these kids and really impact them,” Fuller told NWITimes.com.

Fuller shares a birthday with her mom.
“My mom, she’s literally like my twin,” she said. “We look exactly alike. She has the same birthday and everything.”
