Man Clocked Driving 20 mph over Limit Was Drunk: Cops
He did not go quietly into the department.

Michael Murphy, 32, of the 20500 block of Attica Road, Olympia Fields, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and speeding after a March 14 traffic stop, according to Flossmoor police reports.
Police clocked Murphy going 60 mph in a 40-mph zone in the 2900 block of Vollmer, eventually pulling him over near the intersection of Heather Hill Crescent and Lawrence Crescent, the report stated.
At the scene, the officer noticed Murphy’s eyes were glassy and bloodshot, and he was slurring his words, the report stated. Two passengers also were in the car; the back-seat passenger was sleeping with his head tilted forward, and the front-seat passenger had his head tilted in the direction of the officer, but his eyes didn’t appear to be focusing on anything, the report added.

Murphy told police he hadn’t been drinking and refused to take a portable breath test and field sobriety tests at the scene, the report stated. As he was being taken in to custody, Murphy asked if his speed was “locked” into the officer’s radar gun, and he claimed he would get an attorney to get him out of any charges, the report added.
At the station, Murphy refused to take a breath test and told police before being charged:
