Man Found Dead In Vehicle With Gunshot Wounds: Homewood Police
Police believe the attack was targeted and said there is no ongoing threat to the community.
HOMEWOOD, IL — Police are investigating after a man was found dead in a vehicle early Sunday morning in Homewood, according to authorities.
Officers responded about 1:30 a.m. to a report of shots fired in the 17500 block of Dixmoor Drive, where they found a 25-year-old, dead with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
“At this time, the investigation indicates that this was a targeted attack and there is not an on-going threat to the community,” police said in a news release.

The Homewood Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating with the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force, according to authorities, who said the victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of family.
