Man Shouts Obscenities in Multiple Calls to 911 Dispatcher: Blotter

JUNE 9
Disorderly Conduct
Jeremie Ketner, 34, of the 3600 block of Tamarind Lane, Hazel Crest, was charged with disorderly conduct after being accused of making harassing phone calls to a 911 operator, according to Homewood police reports.

Ketner allegedly called 911 six times between 3:20 and 4:20 a.m., June 9, yelling obscenities at the operator each time, the report stated.
Ketner’s court date is July 31.

JUNE 8
Retail Theft
Two men were accused of stealing more than $50 of Red Bull June 8 from a Speedway gas station, according to Homewood police reports.
Kevin Williams, 53, of the 21400 block of Peterson Avenue, Sauk Village; and Michael Perry, 34, of the 800 block of 177th Street, Hammond, Ind., were arrested and both charged with retail theft, the report stated.
The clerk at the station, 18002 S. Halsted St., told police he saw Williams and Perry take seven, four packs of Red Bull, valued at $52.43, and walk out without paying. The two men then fled northbound on Halsted, the report added.
Details about how the men were apprehended were redacted from the police report.
JUNE 7
Retail Theft
Jose Aquilar, 52, of the 800 block of Emerald Avenue, Chicago Heights, was arrested and charged with retail theft after being accused of shoplifting more than $100 of whiskey and beer from Jewel, according to Homewood police reports.
The loss prevention agent for the store, 3153 W. 183rd St., claimed he saw Aquilar put four bottles of Jack Daniels and two bottles of Corona into his jacket at about 4:37 p.m. June 7, and try to leave the store without paying for them, the report stated. The total value of the items was $105.68, the report added.
JUNE 6
DUI
Joseph Nordman, 49, of the 18800 block of Jamie Court, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.08, driving without insurance and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after a June 6 crash, according to Homewood police reports.
Nordman and his red Jeep were in a single-vehicle accident at about 1 a.m., in the 1600 block of 187th Street, which left his Jeep with significant front-end damage, the report stated. At the scene, police could smell an odor of alcohol on Nordman’s breath and noticed that his eyes were bloodshot, the report added. Nordman also couldn’t stand on his own when he was asked to exit his vehicle, according to the report.
DUI
Dontay L. Crims Jr., 25, of the 800 block of Oxford Avenue, Matteson, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, according to Homewood police reports.
Police responded to a call at about 9:03 p.m., of two people acting oddly while trying to open up credit cards at Best Buy, 17800 S. Halsted St., the report stated.
An officer approached the men in the car and spoke with the driver, Crims, the report stated. Crims eyes appeared to be bloodshot, and his speech was mumbled and “mush-mouthed,” the report added.
Crims was then searched by the officer, who found a small, plastic bag filled with several yellow “zip baggies,” the report stated. Those baggies contained a substance suspected to be drugs wrapped in tin foil marked with a “T,” the report added.

JUNE 5
Theft
Gregory Hawes, 18, of the 17700 block of Stonebridge Drive, Hazel Crest, was charged with theft after being accused of stealing from his employer, Dunkin’ Donuts, according to Homewood police reports.
Hawes was caught on video June 5, taking a $20 bill from the drive-through cash register and putting it in his pocket, the report stated. A supervisor was checking the footage because the store, 2353 W. 183rd St., was short $800 the past month, the report added.
