Orland Park police were in a Bridgeview courtroom on Thursday seeking an arrest warrant for James Harden, 29, of Markham, and Justin Martin, on armed robbery and kidnapping charges.

Both men are alleged to have robbed the T-Mobile store at 15615 S. LaGrange Road, Orland Park, around 2:21 p.m. Sunday. Employees told police they were herded into a back office at gunpoint, as the men proceeded to stuff a black garbage bag with cellular phones.

The Waterloo Police Department said two armed suspects entered the I-Wireless store and ordered a lone store employee into a back office. After filling a bag with cell phones, the robbers fled in a silver SUV.

The vehicle was later found parked in a motel in Postville, IA, about 76 miles north of Waterloo. Police and Iowa state troopers took the armed motel guests into custody, Waterloo police said.

Harden, along with Roosevelt Brown, 20, and Don N. Redmond, 29, both of Harvey; Lawerence D. Adkinson, 27, of Hazel Crest, and Jeffrey A. Kemp, 39, of Chicago, were each charged with first-degree robbery in the Black Hawk County District Court.

A Harvey woman, Dominique Walker, 22, was also charged as an accessory after the fact-robbery first degree, and third-degree theft.

The detective said Harden and the others in the Waterloo robbery are currently being held in Iowa at the Clayton County Sheriff’s Department.

Justin Martin was not among those arrested at the Postville motel and remains at large. The Orland Park detective said they have been unable to locate him.

Judge Gallagher issued nationwide arrest warrants with a $1 million bond for both men. It was not immediately apparent if Harden would be extradited from Iowa.
