Men Fleeing Police Escape Into South Suburban Mall: Reports
Police searched the mall but did not find the men, according to reports.
CALUMET CITY, IL — Three men involved in a high-speed police chase Tuesday escaped authorities inside a south suburban mall, according to reports.
The pursuit began in Chicago and continued south down the Bishop Ford Expressway, according to WGN, with a minivan that was wanted in connection with incidents in multiple jurisdictions fleeing into Calumet City, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
The trio exited the van around 4:30 p.m. in the area of 159th Street and Torrence Avenue, entering the River Oaks Center shopping mall, where a search by police was unsuccessful, according to the Sun-Times.
