A new beginner string ensemble!

Suburban Youth Symphony Orchestra (SYSO), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit orchestra, is starting a new beginner string ensemble! Since 1962, SYSO has been providing high quality musical training and performance opportunities to students ages 8-17 in the south suburbs.

SYSO students have gone on to The Juilliard School and other prestigious post-secondary educational institutions and have been successful in securing college music scholarships, both as music majors and non-music majors.

Through the generosity of donors, SYSO is able to keep tuition at affordable rates. The cost is only $280 for beginners for the entire season. Financial aid and scholarships are also available for those who qualify.
