Parker Cross Country teams take 4th, 1st at Parkside Invite
Parker Cross Country has successful weekend at invitational on state meet course
On Saturday, the Parker Cross Country team competed in the Normal Parkside Invitational vs. 50 other schools, on the state meet course.
In the girls varsity race there were 51 schools and Parker placed 4th and had two girls get 2nd and 5th overall! Naima Douglas was 2nd and Grace Mullin was 5th! There were 313 runners. Noelle Dolan, Emily Thompson, Mia Caporale, Adia Douglas, and Maeve McGrory also contributed the team's impressive finish.
In the boys race Habtamu Epley and John Hockenberry went 1 and 2 out of 341 runners from 51 schools. Habtamu broke Parker's school record for 2 miles by 29 seconds running a 10:25 for 2 miles. Matthius Douglas, Damarion Best, Eric Johnson, Nelson Speaks, and Cevion Burnett also ran well to contribute to the boys team placing FIRST out of 51 schools! Great job Parker!

The Parker boys also placed 10th as a team in the open race, and the girls placed 7th.
