Parker Runners Notch Best All-Time Performances at State Meet

The Parker Junior High Cross-country team completed their 2015 season with some all-time best performances at the IESA state meet this past weekend in Normal, Illinois.

Out of the 343 schools in IESA Cross-country the Parker boys placed 13th in the 3A race. This was their best showing at state in what was an incredibly competitive year. They were led by Xavier Frazier who finished in 26th place overall in a Parker record 10:54 (The previous record was 11:26). Devin Gorton (11:19, 80th), Ian Barrow (11:30, 109th), Eric Gerecke (11:32, 116th), Joe Sullivan (11:40, 136th), Jeron Burns (11:53, 158th) and Jacob Goldberg (12:14, 186th) all helped the team secure their finish place.

In the girls race Jasmyn Hunter finished 187th in 13:26.
