Preps in Motion: Last Look Back at H-F's Sectional Setback

A packed house turned out to watch the Vikings drop a 53-37 boys basketball decision to Crete-Monee in semifinal play at the Class 4A Thornwood Sectional.

Fans of the Homewood-Flossmoor boys basketball team turned out in full force to show their support for the Vikings when they took on Crete-Monee in a semifinal game at the Class 4A Thorwood Sectional.

But, even with their "sixth man in place," the Vikings fell behind early and were unable to catch the Warriors in a 53-37 setback that ended their season. Julian Lewis led all scorers with 17 points.

H-F (23-5) went undefeated in Southwest Suburban Blue play en route to capturing the undisputed conference championship. The Vikings also pushed nationally ranked Benet Academy into overtime before falling at the Proviso West Holiday Tournament.
