Pressure Sore Contributed To Woman's Death: Lawsuit
The woman was a resident at Aperion Care Dolton at the time of her death in July 2017.

Family members of a woman who died while developing pressure sores while a resident at a Dolton long-term facility has filed a lawsuit against Aperion Care Dolton, according to the Cook County Record. Vera Wright was at a high risk for pressure sores and developed a sore. That sore, the lawsuit claims, required hospitalization to treat and became infected, which required surgical debridement procedures and intravenous antibiotics that lead to her death in July 2017.
The plaintiff is seeking more than $50,000 and is requesting a trial by jury, according to the Cook County Record.
