Protest Planned At New Planned Parenthood In Flossmoor

The Pro-Life Action League is planning to protest outside the Planned Parenthood facility in Flossmoor Saturday morning.

FLOSSMOOR, IL - A vocal pro-life group is planning a protest this weekend outside the new Planned Parenthood facility in Flossmoor. Leaders of the Pro-Life Action League have called the Saturday morning protest as a way to "expose Planned Parenthood's true agenda" and to call for an investigation into "how they deceptively opened the Flossmoor facility."

Eric Scheidler, executive director of the Pro-Life Action League, says Planned Parenthood has been known for being deceptive about what type of business is coming to towns. He says Illinois House Bill 40, which has allowed for public funding of abortions, has allowed Planned Parenthood to "cash in" and "make even more money doing abortions on the backs of Illinois taxpayers."

"This horrible law forces us to cover the cost of abortions for women insured by Medicare and state employee health plans,” Scheidler said. “Planned Parenthood is essentially ‘cashing in’ on HB 40 with the Flossmoor abortion shop.”

He also blasted the group's decision to locate in Flossmoor, only a few miles from the Indiana border.

"Illinois is fast becoming the abortion dumping ground of the Midwest,” Scheidler said, accusing Planned Parenthood of strategically deciding on the location to lure abortion seekers from Indiana.

Scheidler will lead the group of protesters, who plan to meet at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, outside the facility at 19831 Governors Highway.
