Recent H-F Alum Returning Home From Training

After spending Thanksgiving break back home in Homewood, Joshua Quintanilla will be a military police officer in South Korea.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Joshua Quintanilla, a 2019 Homewood-Flossmoor High School alum, will return home later this month on break from the military after completing basic and advanced training in the United States Army's One Station Unit Training program.

He is the son of Joseph and Jennifer Quintanilla of Homewood. Joseph said his son will be back in Homewood the day before Thanksgiving for 10 days.

When he goes back to the Army, Joshua, 19, will be stationed in South Korea for a year as a member of the military police. He's currently completing advanced training, having been away at OSUT since July 9.

Joseph said his son is going into military police to help him better prepare for his career goal, which is to become a police officer for either the Homewood Police Department or Illinois State Police.
