Deceptive Practices
Rashawn Thurman, 30, of Chicago was charged with identity theft and resisting/obstructing a peace officer at 4:17 p.m. on Dec. 12 at Kohl's, 17620 S. Halsted St. Thurman completed a credit card purchase with account information he did not have authorization to use. Thurman pulled away, ran from and physically resisted as officers placed him under arrest.

Retail Theft
Shedrek Anderson, 46, of Matteson was charged with retail theft at 5 p.m. on Dec. 11 at Target, 17605 S. Halsted St. Anderson concealed items and exited the store without making payment for the merchandise, which had a total retail value of $417.85.

Heidi Anselmo, 50, of Harvey was charged with retail theft at 7:40 p.m. on Dec. 10 at TJ Maxx, 17900 S. Halsted St. Anselmo concealed items and exited the store without making payment for the merchandise, which had a total retail value of $187.94.
Theft
Latanya Earl, 37, of Chicago was charged with theft over $500 at 4:26 p.m. on Dec. 10 at Walmart, 17550 S. Halsted St. While working as a cashier, Earl would remove currency from the register. From October of 2019 through December of 2019, Earl took currency over $500.
