Ring in the New Year With Your Family at the Homewood Auditorium
For families with small children, the Village of Homewood is hosting an alternative to staying up until Midnight.

Staying up all night to watch the ball drop on New Year’s Eve is exciting, but it can be difficult for families with small children.
So this year, the Village of Homewood is hosting a celebration, complete with a balloon drop, that will count down to the strike of Noon, according to a media alert sent to Patch.
The event will be held at the Homewood Auditorium and doors will open at 10:30. Seating for the celebration is limited to 500.

The entertainment portion of the event begins at 11 and features the Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team, a group that made it to the semifinals on “America’s Got Talent.” After the performance the audience will start getting ready for the balloon drop and will receive hats, tiaras and noisemakers for the countdown.
