The ROOFTOP Summer Music Series at the Museum
The 2015 ROOFTOP Summer Music Series at the Joliet Area Historical Museum!

This summer, a different live performance is featured each month on the Joliet Area Historical Museum’s Outdoor Rooftop Terrace. Doors open at 6:45 pm, and shows start at 7:30 pm. Beverages (Soda, beer, wine, water) available for purchase (coffee & snacks are free). Only $8.00 for Museum members & Students with valid I.D. or $10 for General Public! In case of inclement weather, shows will be held in the Museum’s Indoor Auditorium.

May 21st – 1976 Band; The band 1976 revisits all the great rockin’ music from that 70’s era and takes you along for the ride. These outstanding musicians authentically recreate your favorites by bands like Fleetwood Mac, Frampton, Tom Petty, Heart, Boston, Steve Miller Band, Bad Company, Rod Stewart, Journey, The Eagles, Santana, Elton John, Deep Purple, & many more. Let 1976 take you back to the decade that changed rock music forever!

June 11th – The STEEPWATER BAND; Formed in Chicago back in 1998, The Steepwater Band’s signature sound is a nod to early British blues, combined with a modern, raw and gutsy musical approach. Although the band got their start as devotees of delta blues, they have since been expanding on their influences, absorbing everything from Psychedelia to Americana, from Jazz to 50’s Rock n’ Roll Music.
July 16th – M&R RUSH; In 1980, “The Loop” radio in Chicago chose M&R Rush to be on their first hometown album, with M&R Rush’s song “Rock & Roll Chicago” becoming the most requested song. Reunited for special tours, M&R Rush has shared the stage with Styx, Survivor, Sammy Hagar, Judas Priest, Black Oak Arkansas, Head East & others. Join us on the band’s 2015 Ready...Set...Rock Tour! as they play their own hits and other classic rockers from Styx, Led Zeppelin, Foreigner & more!

August 13th – STRUNG OUT Band: Strung Out is Chicago’s most unique classic rock band. Their dynamic blend of guitars, cello, violin, keyboards, bass, and percussion, topped off with outstanding vocalists, create an unforgettable sound. You’ll hear the greatest Classic Rock, Pop, Southern Rock, AM/FM Radio Cuts, and everything in between. So get ready to sing, dance, and have fun with the amazing musical experience only Strung Out can provide.
September 10th – TRAIN COMPANY; TRAIN COMPANY plays killer, teeth-kicking blues-rock. Since forming in 2008, the band has explored a sound that has included everything from jazzy pop to bourbon-soaked rock ‘n roll. Train Company’s success continues through constant gigging, including two recent sold out shows at Chicago’s House of Blues alongside Counting Crows and Blues Traveler. Crowds can expect sweaty, high energy shows with no two alike!

Registration note: No tickets will be mailed. Your name and the names of all registered guests will be entered on a check-in list. Guests provide name upon arrival at the check-in.
The Museum is located at 204 North Ottawa St. (Cass & Ottawa) in downtown Joliet. Free parking across the street from the Museum at Webster & Ottawa streets.
