Marian Band to Perform at Guaranteed Rate Field Tix Available

Have you ever dreamed of walking on the field that the Chicago White Sox play on? Now is your chance. As members of the Marian Catholic band return to perform on Guaranteed Rate Field fans, supporters and community members can walk behind them as they play.

ANY fan that purchases a Sox ticket from the White Sox/ Marian Catholic website will be able to march in the warning track parade around the field. The marching band will then get the evening started by playing the Star-Spangled Banner from center field.

Julian Wiggins from Olympia Fields an incoming senior at Marian Catholic will be one of the band members returning to perform at Guaranteed Rate Field. Julian who plays baritone performed during the Chicago White Sox Star Wars night last year. He and the rest of the Marian Catholic band return to the field on August 18th.

” It was an exhilarating experience to perform at Guaranteed Rate Field last year” . said Julian. “We warmed up in the Sox parking lot playing a couple of our songs and the fans passing by as well as the band parents began applauding.”

Following a pre-game tailgate, Marian Catholic’s Marching Band, a seven-time Bands of America Grand National Champion and 38-consecutive Class 3A State Champion, will march into Guaranteed Rate Field with a parade of Marian Catholic supporters marching behind them

“ I’ve gotten so much out of Marian Catholic band such as the friendships and putting one hundred percent in everything I do. After high school I’m hoping to go into pre-med looking to get into pediatrics,” added Julian.

Members of the Marian Catholic community will enjoy the game from lower box and right field bleacher seats. As a gesture of community support, a portion of each ticket sold will be donated back to Marian Catholic for scholarships and financial aid.

An added bonus, the first 1500 fans to purchase tickets from Marian Catholic will receive a Marian Catholic branded White Sox hat. Win or lose, the night will conclude with fireworks after the game.
