Rich East Principal Placed On Paid Leave
Rich Township High School District 227 placed Dr. Albert Brass on leave, citing a "personnel issue."

PARK FOREST, IL — Dr. Albert Brass, principal of Rich East High School in Park Forest, has been placed on paid administrative leave. Rich Township High School District 227 placed Brass on leave Monday, citing a "personnel issue" in a statement to media.
"The district is aware that some inaccurate rumors have been shared on social media," the statement continued. "To clarify, Dr. Brass has not been placed under arrest and there are no allegations that he engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a student."
The district declined to share any additional information since it is a personnel matter, it said.

Rich East is set to close permanently at the end of this school year, with all students being sent to attend either of the district's two other high schools: Rich Central and Rich South.
