Shots Fired At Man As He Leaves Home, Suspects At Large: Homewood PD
The incident happened just before 1 a.m. Tuesday in the 18400 block of Kedzie Avenue.
HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood police are investigating after a man reported gunshots being fired at him as he was leaving his home early Tuesday.
Police were called just before 1 a.m. for a report of shots fired at a home in the 18400 block of Kedzie Avenue. A man told officers several suspects had shot at him as he was exiting his home. The suspects then fled northbound in an unknown car, the man told police.
Police checked the surrounding area and did not find the suspects. Responding officers found several shell casings in the area. An unoccupied parked car and a garage unit were damaged from the rounds. Police believe it to be an isolated incident.
