Specialty Physicians of Illinois Opens Same-Day Cardiology Clinic
New service at Franciscan Health Cardiology Olympia Fields aims to improve access, reduce wait times and promote better outcomes
Franciscan Health Cardiology Olympia Fields is offering a new same-day cardiology clinic beginning June 7.
The clinic reduces appointment wait times for new patients, decreases use of the emergency department for non-emergencies and assists with pre-operative and follow-up appointments after hospital discharge.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer this new service to our patients,” said Heart & Vascular Institute Medical Director Omar Hamoui, MD, who will serve as the lead clinic physician. “Increasing access to physicians and reducing wait times for appointments not only results in better outcomes but also provides peace of mind for patients.”

The clinic will be available Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Franciscan Health Cardiology Olympia Fields, 3800 W. 203rd St., Suite 202 in Olympia Fields. Franciscan Health Cardiology Olympia Fields is a hospital outpatient department of Franciscan Health Olympia Fields.
