Spot 'Flossey' in Homewood-Flossmoor, Enter to Win a Gift Card
Homewood-Flossmoor businesses team up to keep business moving during viaduct closure.

Homewood-Flossmoor businesses fear that with road closures near the Flossmoor viaduct, their business might suffer—but not if they can work together.
In anticipation of the Flossmoor viaduct closing, several businesses owners began brainstorming about how to bring attention to the downtown businesses.
And so begins, “Finding Flossey Fridays.”

Several downtown businesses will participate in a contest that asks visitors to spot “Flossey” the smart car around the Homewood-Flossmoor community. Once Flossey has been found, visitors should then take a picture with the car, and send it to findflossey@gmail.com.
Each participant will then be entered to win a $25 gift certificate that a local business has donated. Businesses currently playing along include: Jonathan Kane Salon, Sweet Annie’s & Drew’s, Cilantro, The Cottage on Dixie, Art 4 Soul and Homewood Florist, Grady’s Grille and Twisted Q.

The contest kicks in Friday, August 29 and is expected to run for at least six weeks.
“Quite a few of us on staff at CDE, including the two owners, were raised in the community and are H-F H.S. graduates, so this seems like a fun way to give back,” said Lori Tozer, of the Center for Dental Excellence.
