Starry Nights Concert Series featuring BritBeat

Thursday, July 23 @ 7:30 p.m. Irwin Park Bandshell

Looks like it’s going to be a perfect night for a Starry Nights concert as BritBeat takes the stage on Thursday, July 23rd presented by the Homewood Flossmoor Park District.

BritBeat recreates the Beatles touring years. The show begins with the early Ed Sullivan songs that includes ‘She Loves You’, ‘Twist and Shout’ and ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’. Experience the mania, moods and emotions while you dance away to classic hits such as ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ and ‘Help!’ BritBeat captures the authentic mannerisms and memorable traits of John, Paul, George and Ringo live on stage!

Next, you’ll take a ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ to Pepperland as BritBeat recreates the psychedelic era of The Beatles. Every musical and visual detail will magically take you into a colorful journey back in time. The show will take you deep into song selections from ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’, ‘Yellow Submarine’ and ‘Magical Mystery Tour’.

Before the journey is through, you’ll ‘Get Back’ to a spectacular musical finale of the later years of The Beatles. Relive the White Album, Let It Be and Abbey Road. Emotional renditions of songs such as ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’, ‘Let It Be’ and ‘Golden Slumbers’ are guaranteed to complete your Beatles experience.

The gates open at 6 p.m. for this free show. Lagunitas Brewing will be the featured beer at the new craft beer tent along with domestic beers and wine. Food will also be available for purchase from local vendors, such as Wiley’s Grill, Cilantro’s and Dairy Queen.

Admission to Starry Nights concerts is FREE.
