HOMEWOOD, IL – Homewood police say they recovered a stolen car in the parking lot of the Home Depot on Halsted Street this week. Officers arrested Anthony Garth, 28, of Harvey at 8:49 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 5. Garth was allegedly the driver of a car that was reported stolen to the Illinois Secretary of State at the time. He faces a charge of criminal trespass to motor vehicle as well as a count of cannabis possession less than 10 grams. Police say Garth had on him eight grams of what they believe to be cannabis.
