Stolen Vehicle

Anthony Fields Jr., 18, of the 17500 block of Oakwood Drive, Hazel Crest, was arrested and charged with felony unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle after a May 20 incident, according to Homewood police reports.

At about 3:09 p.m., police noticed a black Nissan with a gray hood that matched the description of a vehicle reported stolen May 19 in Hazel Crest, the report stated. The car was parked against a building in the parking lot of Target, 17605 S. Halsted St., the report added.

The officer ran a check on the car’s registration and confirmed that it had been reported stolen, the report stated. Police then took Fields into custody, and he was charged, the report added.

Retail Theft

A woman was arrested and charged with retail theft after being accused of trying to shoplift more than $100 worth of merchandise May 20, according to Homewood police reports.

The loss prevention agent for Kohl’s, 17620 S. Halsted St., told police he saw a woman conceal a Timex watch, worth $69.95, and a pair of headphones, worth $39.99, and try to leave the store with paying for them.

The name of the offender and other details from the incident were redacted from the police report.
