Trooper Injured In Crash Involving Vehicle Tied To Possible Kidnapping
A police pursuit out of Dolton connected to a possible kidnapping resulted in a crash that injured a state trooper, authorities said.

CHICAGO, IL — A police pursuit out of Dolton connected to a possible kidnapping resulted in a crash that injured a state trooper Monday on the Dan Ryan, according to authorities.
Dolton police were pursuing a black Ford car involved in the potential kidnapping about 3 p.m. when a trooper saw the Ford on northbound Interstate 94 at West 87th Street, authorities said. The Ford sideswiped a vehicle and pushed it into the state police car, according to authorities, before continuing to flee law enforcement.
The trooper was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries that are not life threatening, police said.
