UChicago Medicine Expands to Flossmoor
A family practice opened this month on Governors Highway.

FLOSSMOOR, IL - Residents of Chicago's far south suburbs now have have nearby access to the services of the University of Chicago Medicine as the university has opened a new family medicine practice in Flossmoor.
The University of Chicago Care Network Physicians at Flossmoor is open six days a week at 19550 Governors Highway and has a physician team of four: Alex DeJong, DO; Richard DeJong, MD; Amit Joshi, MD and Amy Pannaralla, DO. All been long-time primary care providers in Chicago’s suburbs, according to a news release from University of Chicago Hospitals.
“We’re excited to expand our offerings of comprehensive family medicine to the Flossmoor community,” said Jeffrey Glassroth, MD, physician director of UChicago Medicine’s Faculty Practice Plan. “This team of highly skilled, compassionate physicians will provide a full-range of primary care in a community setting while also being able to connect patients with UChicago Medicine’s network of world-class specialists.”

The new staff in Flossmoor is part of UChicago's goal to expand its services outside its main campus in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood.
In December, the university opened its new Center for Advanced Care at Orland Park, a $61 million outpatient clinic offering primary and specialty care. The Center for Advanced Care at South Loop opened last month.
