Are you interested in public service? Help keep Flossmoor's children safe by becoming a school crossing guard! School crossing guards are responsible for safely crossing children at designated locations on school attendance days. Work hours during the school year will be from 7:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. and again from 2:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., depending on the start and dismissal times of the school. Candidates must be dependable and at least 18 years of age with strong people and customer service skills. Candidates must also pass a background check, pre-employment drug test, and have reliable means of transportation. The rate of pay is $25.00 per day. For those interested, you can pick up and drop off an application at the Flossmoor Police Department, 2800 Flossmoor Road, Flossmoor, IL 6042.
