Village Of Homewood Hiring Firefighters

HOMEWOOD, IL - The village of Homewood is looking to hire part-time firefighters/paramedics and will hold a written examination for those who apply next month. The pay rate for a firefighter/paramedic in Homewood is $20 an hour.

Applications are available on the Village of Homewood website. They must be filled out or sent back to the Homewood Police Department, 17950 Dixie Highway before 5 p.m. on April 6. A free study guide for the written exam will be given to all applicants after they turn in the application.

Here's a list of qualifications you'll need to be able to apply:

• United States citizenship
• At least 21 years old
• Younger than 35 years old
• High school diploma
• Both firefighter and paramedic certifications
• CPAT card, which includes a successful completion of the Candidate Physical Ability Test
