Volunteers Needed For Flossmoor's Annual Fall Tree Planting

The Flossmoor Green Commission needs extra hands Saturday, Nov. 5.

FLOSSMOOR, IL — The Village of Flossmoor is looking for volunteers for its annual fall tree planting, set for Saturday, Nov. 5.

If you missed the chance to Plant the Gem, this is a great way to get involved and be part of growing Flossmoor's urban forest.

The Village is in need of 25 to 30 volunteers to complete the Village-wide planting project. Volunteers will meet with the Green Commission and Village staff at 8 a.m. at Flossmoor Village Hall, 2800 Flossmoor Rd., and will be distributed to planting locations across the Village.

Participants should dress for the weather, with close-toed shoes, and bring a water bottle. Feel free to bring your own shovel and necessary planting tools, but limited supplies will be available. Sign up now to volunteer.
