Why Should I Try Lacrosse?
Lacrosse is becoming more popular every year, especially in the Midwest. There are many youth programs out there, but New Wave excels.

Lacrosse is the fastest-growing high school sport in the nation. In the last few years, varsity lacrosse teams have increased 200 percent nationwide. In the Midwest, this number is even more elevated. Many children are showing an increased interest in the sport of lacrosse and New Wave Lacrosse has a program for every skill level.
When our kids enter elementary school, it’s prime time for us to begin to teach them the fundamentals of the game. Teaching them how to catch and throw properly, where to stand on the field, and how to communicate with teammates and coaches are the building blocks of this age group. We want our kids to believe in themselves and in their capacity to perform basic tasks, which in turn become the fundamentals of self-confidence.
New Wave Lacrosse has the perfect program this spring that will not only provide a fun, educational atmosphere for area youth, but will also put them on the fast track to becoming well-rounded athletes and people. Last year, over 300 kids from Kindergarten - 8th grade came out for New Wave’s Spring Leagues, the highest number yet! And the competition is only expected to grow. This April, four towns go head-to-head in the greatest lacrosse turf battle the suburbs have ever seen! In other words, New Wave Lacrosse will be offering their popular Boys Lacrosse League again this Spring. This is an extremely popular program and past players are proving this to be a great feeder program for the area high school teams.

At the end of the season, the teams from Naperville, Oswego, Plainfield, and Downers Grove will play in a round robin tournament to determine the league champion. Kids from all areas are invited to align with one of the four towns and defend their crest! All U9 - U15 teams will be entered into the May Classic Tournament, which will give the players a taste of competition at the club lacrosse level. Game jersey is included in program fee.
