
Hundreds of Homewood-Flossmoor area residents are without power Friday afternoon, as winds of up to 60 mph whip through town.
The area has been hit with sporadic outages due to downed lines and trees. A ComEd outage map shows specific areas impacted and estimated time of restoration. In several areas, crews are still assessing the damage.
The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning until 6 p.m., advising people to bring inside any lightweight objects. In Calumet Park, winds were so strong they toppled a building.
