Woman Injured After Bullet Hits Van on Dan Ryan Early Sunday
The vehicle crashed after being struck by a bullet on the Dan Ryan on the South Side.
A woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after the van she was in was struck by a bullet and crashed on the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90/I-94) near Roosevelt at about 4:15 a.m. Sunday, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. None of the three women in the vehicle were shot but a woman was injured in the crash.
The van was traveling north on the Dan Ryan when the shots were fired, NBC Chicago reports. A bullet hit the van and the vehicle stalled in the center lane.
The crash caused lane closures in the area.
