Woman Kidnapped In Homewood Home Invasion

A 19-year-old woman was kidnapped from a home on Dolphin Lake Drive Wednesday afternoon by her boyfriend, police said.

HOMEWOOD, IL - Police in Homewood are investigating a Wednesday afternoon home invasion in which a 19-year-old woman was kidnapped by her boyfriend, a 19-year-old man. The victim was released unharmed and was able make it back to her residence in the 18200 block of Dolphin Lake Drive where the invasion occurred, according to police.

The man "forcibly" entered the home through the front door just before 12:28 p.m. and displayed a weapon while forcing the victim to leave with him. The woman was later released and made it home unharmed.

Additional information provided by a police source indicates that multiple cell phones were taken during the invasion and that all of them pinged most recently in Gary, Indiana.

The suspect was last seen leaving the area with the victim in a blue BMW sedan. He had not been apprehended as of Wednesday night.
