Wow! What a Week!

Infant Jesus of Prague Celebrated Catholic Schools With a Week Full of Activities

Catholic Schools Week (CSW) 2016 kicked off on Sunday, January 31st with the opening of the week-long PTO Book Fair and the IJP School Board hosting hospitality after all Masses in appreciation of IJP Parishioners and all their support. On Monday, students and teachers wore their favorite sports jersey in exchange for bringing in a new pair of socks or mittens to be donated to Respond Now and PADS. Tuesday was Teacher Appreciation Day in addition to the musical “Godspell” and the Seventh Grade Science Fair Awards. The following day students could wear their “Sunday Best” for Priest Appreciation Day which began with an all-school Mass at which students presented “thank you” cards to Father Mike and Father Edmond. In addition, Ms. Peggy Dull was presented with the 2016 Distinguished Graduate Award at Mass. On Thursday, School Pride Day, IJP held their Open House at which current and prospective families could learn about and see all that IJP offers. The Fifth Grade Students held their “Hero” Wax Museum, Seventh Grade Science Fair Projects were on display, and guests could tour the school. Friday wrapped the week up with Student Appreciation Day—students wore jeans, enjoyed a Fun Lunch, played BINGO, and best of all, received NO Homework! Other activities throughout the week included breakfast with Mr. Gallagher, Kindergarten making pasta, the 100th Day of School Celebration, lunch and visits with Father Mike and Father Edmond, a special lunch for teachers, making Valentine’s Day cards for elderly in the community, and so much more!
