A Look at What is Coming Up This Week on Patch

Monday: The Athlete of the Week will be announced from Huntley, Jacobs and Dundee-Crown with nominations coming from each school’s coaches and athletic directors.

Tuesday: This week’s sports notebook will feature some quick notes on some local teams doing well along with a look at the week’s biggest games including each team’s football matchups.

Wednesday: Gimme 5 with….. I will talk with a local athlete or coach and ask them five questions about their sport and other related items.

Friday: Log in late Friday night for coverage of the fifth week of the prep football regular season as Jacobs hosts Cary-Grove in a big Fox Valley Conference Valley Division showdown and check out a full photo gallery of the game.

Saturday: I will take a look at what went on during Week 5 of the high school football season and break down what needs to happen before Week 6 gets underway as we pass the halfway point of the regular season.
