• Worker Rescued From Lift 100 Feet Above Ground In Huntley (patch.com) — A contract worker cleaning a Village of Huntley water tower was safely rescued Thursday morning after his aerial lift began smoking and stalled about 100 feet up on Kreutzer Road. Huntley Fire Protection District crews used their tower ladder to transfer him to safety, and no injuries were reported while officials continue to look into what caused the equipment failure.
   

• Chase Hojnacki, Huntley outlast Burlington Central (shawlocal.com) — Huntley football fans saw junior running back Chase Hojnacki power the Red Raiders to a 32-12 home win over Burlington Central at Huntley High, rushing for 206 yards and four touchdowns. The victory keeps Huntley unbeaten in Fox Valley Conference play, clinches at least a share of the league title, and sets up a shot at a perfect regular season next week.
