The 2011 golf season has been filled with many firsts for , starting with the first time in the school’s history in which a team played in a golf conference championship. But, playing and winning the Valley Division in the Fox Valley Conference Golf Championship was only the beginning as the team, led by head coach Jim Rolando and assistant coach Marty Manning, moved on to win the Fox Valley Conference Tournament.
The Red Raiders then secured a spot in the Illinois High School Association Sections after placing second at the IHSA Regional Golf Championship held earlier this week.
Team members Ryan Craig, AJ Fanselow, Gage Jereb, Trent Craig, Garrett Chmiola, Tyler Ross, and Mason Wicks, will play Monday in the Fremd Sectional at Hilldale.

“The guys have had a season to remember for sure,” Rolando said.
The team hopes to bring home the first place trophy to mark Huntley High School’s history making season.
