Child Hit by Car on Haligus

Marlowe Middle School student struck Friday morning as he crossed the street going to school.

 

A Marlowe Middle School student was hit by a car Friday morning at the Haligus Road school campus, authorities said.

The 12-year-old was crossing the street near the campus, 9625 Haligus Road, around 7 a.m. when he was hit by a car traveling northbound, Huntley Deputy Chief Michael Klunk said.

Huntley firefighters took the boy to Woodstock Memorial Hospital and he was later taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

His condition was unknown, but Huntley fire authorities said his injuries were not life-threatening.
