Crews will begin excavation for the widening of Route 47 from Algonquin Road to Main Street this week, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.
There will also be new streetlights installed throughout the construction route, according to IDOT’s weekly construction update.
This week’s work means there maybe changes to entrances to businesses along the construction corridor, IDOT stated.
