Expect Dean Street Closure

Road construction will shut down Dean Street, east of Route 47, again this week, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Dean Street will be closed the entire week and traffic will be detoured to Mill Street, IDOT said. However, access to Centegra, Castle Bank and the Reicher Goerdt property will be maintained and available from Dean Street, according to an IDOT release.

Paving work on the east side of Route 47 on Tuesday, May 17 and Wednesday, May 18, will lead t single lane shutdowns. There will be flaggers directing traffic and there will be extreme delays. IDOT says plan an alternate route.

IDOT officials also want motorists to be aware of new lane configurations at Route 47 and Kreutzer Road.
