Huntley Raiders Lacrosse Club Host High-Scoring All-Star Game
Team White beats Team Red 14-13.
Early on, everybody knew it would be a shootout.
Todd Meyer, one of the players representing the Huntley Raiders Lacrosse Club in the NILAX All-Star Game, went airborne Tuesday evening to score his second goal just three minutes into the game, pulling ahead of the Team White 3-1.
That lead would not last long for Team Red, which included all-stars from Huntley, Cary-Grove, Marian Central, Crystal Lake Central, Batavia, McHenry and Oswego.

Team White’s Zach Pressley, from Downers Grove, was unstoppable. Pressley scored six goals Tuesday evening. Team White included all-stars from Jacobs, Prairie Ridge, Dundee Crown and Crystal Lake South.
Meyer scored his third goal with a little under three minutes left in the game, whittling down Team White’s lead. With Team Red trailing by two goals, Trevor Dorn, from Cary-Grove, scored the last goal of the game.

Dorn was Team Red’s high scorer with four goals on the evening.
“It’s a brutal, amazing game,” Todd Meyer said. Meyer finished with a hat trick and an assist, adding that he would be attending the University of Illinois in the fall and Tuesday night’s all-star game would probably be the last time he’d play an organized game of lacrosse.
“But I’m going to bring my (lacrosse) stick to college,” he said.
“I don’t believe he’s through with the game,” said Cheryl Meyer, Todd’s mother. “He won’t be able to stay away from it.”
