Huntley High’s Fine Arts Boosters Host Winter Variety Show Fundraiser

The Fine Arts Boosters hold annual variety to show to raise money for scholarships.

The Fine Arts Boosters for Huntley High School invites the community to beat those winter blues and join the fun at the annual Winter Variety Show.

The variety show, featuring Huntley High performers from the past, present and future, is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, at the school’s Performing Arts Center, 13719 Harmony Rd., Huntley, according to a District 158 press release.

Huntley High School Fine Arts performers have planned a very diverse show featuring all aspects of the fine arts from singing, dancing and percussion to visual arts, theatre and speech.

The line-up of performances include students from Heineman and Marlowe middle schools, the Dance Force boys hip hop group, the student-run professional singing group, Project 2, an original song from Shoot the Messenger Band, and a special performance from an award-winning drum line, the release stated.

Admission is $5 per person, or $3 for students grades 8 and under at the door. Middle school students are asked to present their school identification to receive the discounted price, according to District 158.

All proceeds from the event will help fund this year’s scholarships for Huntley High School students interested in pursuing education or careers in fine arts.
